For Immediate Release
Monadnock Art 2023 Open Studio Art Tour is Bigger than Ever!

Dublin, NH – September 12, 2023
An amazing opportunity to visit the studios of inspiring, award-winning, and world-class artists who make their home in the marvelous landscape of the Monadnock Region.

Monadnock Art presents its 27th Annual Open Studio Tour on October 7–9, 2023, with an unprecedented roster of 81 artists in 65 different studios!  We have a vast array of mediums and styles, and an intimate setting to chat with these wonderful artists in their element.

The Art Tour includes the Preview Exhibition running September 30 through October 28, at the Monadnock Center for History and Culture in Peterborough. The exhibition includes a special Emerging Artists section, featuring the fresh work of individuals launching new art careers.

The opening reception for the exhibit will be held on Saturday, September 30, 4pm to 7pm and is free and open to the public, with live music, an art raffle, and free cider and donuts!

Our Open Studio Art Tour is the Monadnock Region’s oldest – and New Hampshire’s largest – art tour, held each October during the peak of the colorful foliage season. Art lovers from all over New England and beyond enjoy a fall weekend touring the beautiful countryside, following the Tour map and signage to discover the often tucked-away places where artists work. The Tour winds through the towns surrounding Mount Monadnock: Dublin, Hancock, Harrisville, Jaffrey, Marlborough, Peterborough, and Sharon. Visitors enjoy the unique experience of seeing the workplaces of painters, printmakers, potters, jewelers, sculptors, fiber artists, photographers, woodworkers, glass artists, and more.

The Art Tour is self-directed and free of charge, with artist studios open 10 am through 5 pm during the tour. This year is HUGE, with 81 artists in 65 studios!  Printed Art Tour brochures/maps are available in stores, restaurants, and galleries throughout the region, and at the Monadnock Center for History and Culture. Maps and further information on the Tour, along with images of work by member artists, can be found on the Monadnock Art web site: www.MonadnockArt.org.

Monadnock Art/Friends of the Dublin Art Colony is a non-profit organization with a mission of  celebrating and supporting artists and amplifying the artistic talent and creative diversity of the Monadnock region through special events, online presence, and community engagement, originating with the artists who gathered in and near Dublin at the turn of the 19th century to the hundreds of artists who live and work throughout the region today.
