The Open Studio Art Tour is a self-guided, beautiful country drive through glorious fall color and picturesque villages in the Monadnock Region, leading you to 65 working studios! You’ll enjoy an intimate setting to chat with the artists on their home turf and viewing so much inspiring, interesting, creative artwork.

Art Tour Gallery Exhibit 2026

The Monadnock Center for History & Culture
19 Grove Street, Peterborough NH

October 7 – October 31
Weds–Sun, 10am–4pm

The Gallery Exhibition features works by artists who are on the tour and you can pick up your map to plan your itinerary over the 3-day tour.  The Gallery is open from 10am – 4pm Saturday, Sunday, and Monday of the Tour weekend.  All works are available for purchase and new works will be added during the month-long exhibit.  All free, accessible, and family-friendly.  We are including a Special Bonus Exhibit of selected works from several 19th century members of the original Dublin Art Colony.

Our Goal

Monadnock Art strives to support artists and amplify the artistic talent and diversity of the Monadnock region through special events, online presence, and community engagement.

More About the Art Tour

Monadnock Art presents the Art Tour each October during the peak of the colorful foliage season in the Monadnock region of New Hampshire. It is the original and largest open studio tour in the region – one of the largest in the U.S.!  The tour is self-directed and free (though we do hope you will support our artists by purchasing from them and sharing their information with your friends!) Art lovers from all over New England, and beyond, enjoy touring the beautiful countryside, following the distinctive Art Tour signs, and discovering the often tucked-away places where artists work. Studios are open from 10am to 5pm each day.

The Tour travels through the towns surrounding the iconic Mount Monadnock. A remarkable range and diversity of the visual arts is represented through the work of the artists. Artists offer work for sale, often specially priced for the Tour. For a look at a sampling of their work, please visit the Our Artists page.

NOTE – Bring a mask with you. Some artists may prefer that only masked guests enter their studios, others may be “mask optional”, so come prepared.
