Mary Ann Sullivan
My art journey started in the Chicago area with many dedicated and talented teachers. After moving to New England I worked as an interior designer for 20 years, which gave me the outlet I needed to satisfy my creative urges. The homes I redesigned and refurnished became my blank canvases, and I loved doing it. With retirement looming, the NHIA (New Hampshire Institute of Art) became my second home for the next 5 years. It opened the door for me to realize that painting was my real passion. I truly believe that once an artist, always an artist. I prefer to allow the viewer to find their own interpretation when considering my work, as much of it is abstract. I am always surprised to see how other people interpret it. My goal as an artist is to create beautiful, affordable art for my viewers.
